Why Atmospheric Science?
Growing up on the Alabama Gulf Coast, childhood experiences with tropical cyclones sparked an early interest in the weather. This interest only intensified as I got older and began asking questions about how the atmosphere "works" and varying storm processes. My continuing fascination with severe storm dynamics has led me to where I am today.
Current Work:
Atmospheric wave interactions with QLCS's
Data inventory and preliminary observations of the 27 April 2011 tornadic outbreak
Cataloging photos and videos of 27 April 2011 tornadoes
Convective initiation due to atmospheric waves on 27 April 2011
Atmospheric wave interactions with mesocyclones on 27 April 2011
